STUDENTS from the Ramsbottom area are invited to apply for small grants towards their school, university or college courses.
The British Cotton Growers' Association Ramsbottom Local Fund offers small amounts of money to students who are under 25 and anyone in the old urban district which includes Edenfield, Stubbins, Ramsbottom, Shuttleworth, Holcombe Brook, Holcombe Village and Summerseat can apply.
Cash grants are also available from the John Kay Memorial Fund and preference is given to students from the Ramsbottom area studying engineering, textiles or associated subjects at college or University.
