CRYSTAL Palace boss Steve Bruce has reportedly switched his sights from Nathan Blake to Middlesbrough striker Brian Deane.
That would mean an end to his interest in Rovers front man Blake, who is wanted by Coventry City.
Former Rovers midfielder Billy McKinlay is training with Premiership new boys Bolton.
McKinlay left Ewood Park last season to join Bradford City. However, the former Scottish international left Valley Parade at the end of last season but may now win a deal at the Reebok Stadium if he proves his fitness during pre-season.
