HAVING read the claims by Marie Rimmer (Star, June 21) about what St Helens Council have achieved in the face of criticism from the national media, I would ask her to explain why, the council tax payers of the area where I have lived for 31 years, along with another 40 tenants, have had to put up with conditions that are best described as a hole!
This area was left in this condition by St Helens Council 30 years ago after completing a building programme.
I and other residents have been campaigning for 28 years to right this situation.
Considering no one has lifted a finger to help this altercation to be given attention, I would ask Mrs Rimmer for a statement through the Star.
