A YOUTH affected by the heat and drink threatened his family after his father refused to give him £20, a court heard.

Burnley Magistrates were told how Samuel Robert Longworth, 18, said he would kill everybody and that he would make his pregnant sister lose her unborn child.

Longworth, of Accrington Road, Burnley, admitted breach of the peace and was bound over in the sum of £50, for six months. He had no criminal convictions.

David Lawson, defending, said Longworth recognised his behaviour was inappropriate. It was caused by a combination of the hot weather and drink.

He bitterly regretted what happened although he did not accept some of the comments attributed to him.
