PRE-race entries for the Laughton & Wallace Griffin Grind five-mile fun run are already breaking previous records.
The annual event will take place on Saturday, July 7 with a 7pm start time, registration from 6pm.
The route is circular, starting and finishing close to the Griffin Inn, Eccleston, and all finishers will receive medals and hot-pot.
There will also be prizes and trophies for the various categories as well as spot prizes.
Entry is available on the night (£3.50 for juniors, £4.50 for adults) and further information can be obtained from the race secretary on (01744) 731483 or by e-mail on griffingrind@hotmail.com.
All proceeds of the event will go to the 23rd St Helens Scout Group.
