AN under-used piece of land in Rising Bridge has been transformed into a nature trail for the community.
Groundwork Rossendale has worked with Haslingden Environmental Trust and local residents on the Roundhill View site, known locally as The Ducky.
The scheme has involved planting trees, shrubs and wild flowers, installing seats installed, adding a pathway, building a boardwalk over a marsh area and local school children have added mosaic artwork.
To complete the site, a poem written by Laura Wilkinson, 11, of Stonefold Primary School, entitled 'The Ducky,' has been put up at the site.
