PLANS to take legal action against the owner of land in Blacko which is cluttered with buses have been put on hold by the council.
The owner of Peel House Farm, in Gisburn Old Road, has five buses parked around the farm which can be seen from Gisburn Old Road.
He was sent a letter in May advising him that such use of the land was not allowed and he replied by saying he would remove the buses within a few days.
Despite the vehicles still being on the land, members of the Barrowford and Western Parishes Committee decided to defer the case to give the owner the chance to move them.
They were told he had moved the buses to the site because he had been having theft and vandalism problems at his Nelson premises, where he usually keeps them, and was having problems with his insurance.
The situation will be reconsidered at the next committee meeting in August.
