A DAY tripper from Blackburn has been presented with a birthday treat by her favourite coachline.
Edna Wyatt has travelled with Blackburn Coachlines three times a week for the last 22 years and visited every destination that the company visits at least once.
To celebrate her 85th birthday, Michael Morton, managing director, surprised his most loyal passenger with champagne and three free travel passes for her next excursions.
Edna, of Larkhill Flats, said: "This is a lovely surprise. I really enjoy travelling with Blackburn Coaches and have had some wonderful days out.
"I have always liked visiting different places and have been able to do so much more since retiring. I know all of the drivers now and they are like family to me."
Although Edna sets off on the trips throughout the country on her own, she has made a lot of friends on the coaches who also take regular trips and accompany heron the jaunts -- and the bottle of champagne meant that she had a few more on her latest trip to Durham.
Jim Sommerville, Coachlines manager, said: "We wanted to do something for her birthday as her custom means a great deal to us."
