FIREFIGHTERS today thanked everyone who helped them raise £850.14 for their benevolent fund.
The money was raised after a town centre collection as part of a flag day and will be given to the widows of firemen.
A spokesman for the station said: "We would like to thank the people of Blackburn for their generosity."
