THE British Heart Foundation's Morecambe Bay Walk, postponed in June because of the foot and mouth disease, now takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 27.
The seven-mile walk across the bay starts at Arnside at 12.15pm and finish on the promenade at Grange over Sands. Walkers will be led by Cedric Robinson, the Queen's Official Guide, so they will be in safe hands.
As 2001 is BHF's 40th anniversary year they are hoping to make this year's walk the best yet. To register, or for further details, telephone me on 01254 209747.
