IWAS mystified and hurt at the vehement response by Councillor Par'vaiz Awan (Letters, July 12) to my previous remarks about the present racial troubles. I was so concerned that I showed a copy of my original letter to a neighbour along with Coun Awan's reply and he, too, could not relate Coun Awan's attitude to my comments.
Possibly Coun Awan could re-read my letter and write again citing the passage that formed the basis for his reply.
