BLACKBURN Infirmary is due for closure in 2002 to 2004. Blackburn police station is due for closure in approximately the same period, with a new divisional headquarters being built at another site at an extraordinary cost.
Instead of the Infirmary becoming another Blackburn eyesore, the police, ambulance and fire service and other services such as the Royal Mail depot in Canterbury Street could be located there together at a very convenient site.
