EIGHT swimmers from Fleetwood Swimming Club will be competing against the best later this week in the National Age Group Swimming Championships being staged at Pond's Forge, Sheffield, from July 27 to August 3.
Heather Palfreyman, Rennie Whittaker, Justine Worthington, Stephanie Holme, Joshua Ross, Lisa Birtwistle, Bethany Stanney and Joseph Baran have all achieved the qualifying time to take part in their events.
"It's a tremendous achievement for the swimmers concerned," said Pete Davies, the club chairman.
"They have shown considerable dedication and determination to get to the Nationals."
