BLACKPOOL

NORTH Shore Methodist Church will play host to the talented choir group The Capricorn Singers on August 1. The evening of song commences at 7.30pm in the church on Dickson Road, Blackpool. Admission will be £3 on the door and includes refreshments.

A CHILDREN'S Holiday Club will be running at Bethseda Congregational Church on Grasmere Road, Blackpool, from July 30 to August 3. The theme will be "The Big Picnic'" and will centre on bible stories about feeding people and the importance of sharing food. EXPAND your mind and make new friends at the next meeting of The Northern Lights Astrological Society on August 6 at The Waterloo Hotel on Waterloo Road, Blackpool.

The Fylde based astrology club meets on the first and third Monday of every month in the South Shore hotel at 8pm.

BISPHAM

BISPHAM United Reformed Church Ladies Friendship Group is holding its monthly coffee morning in the church hall on Warbreck Drive, Bispham, at 10.30 am on August 1. Stalls will include cakes and good-as-new items. Admission will be 30p and includes coffee and biscuits.

A MARTIAL arts course aimed at five to seven year olds began this week at All Hallows Church Hall, Bispham. The Little Dragons Club aims to teach youngsters the very basic elements of Tae Kwondo in a fun way. A FUN day of competitions and talent contests will be held in The Jubilee Gardens, Cleveleys, on July 31. The children's talent competition commences at 10am and the Miss Jubilee personality competition starts at 2.30pm, entries for which must be received by 2pm. A MODEL railway exhibition is being held at Lytham's Lowther Pavilion on August 4 and 5. Organised by Lytham St Annes Railway Society, the exhibition will be open between 10am and 6pm each day.
