THANK you very much for your wonderful article 'Valderee' (LET, July 23). Like all 'Looking Back' reports, it was interesting reading.
I did not know the person personally, but I have had several pints with him in the Turners Arms and Wellwishers in King Street, Blackburn, now demolished. He was a jovial scamp and well-liked.
