I WOULD like to praise the new no-nonsense bus transport, with the 'low lift' as you get on the bus. It is a really sensible invention. Elderly people find it marvellous. Before, with the high steps, it was hard work for them getting on and off and dangerous.

It's a good thing too, for mums with prams. Instead of having to struggle folding their buggies and holding the child, they can just walk on with their prams.

The strong hand-rails and plenty of stop buttons are a great help, too.

The buses are nothing fancy, but plain and roomy.

I'm sure everyone who is elderly or travels with young children find them a really sensible change from the old ones.
