A FRUIT and veg preparation firm whose activities prompted objections from neighbours about traffic problems and smells has won a fight to remain open, keeping the workforce of 23 secure.
Calderdale Council's planning committee agreed to a 12-months trial period for Peter Shackleton's food preparation operation in Blind Lane, Todmorden and said the firm must operate from 7am to 7pm, 7am to 1pm on Saturdays and noon until 4pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Speaking on behalf of the company, John Pierce said it would stick to the stipulated hours.
