Steve Cunningham had the first effort - driving over from the edge of the box after a fine run.

Just two minutes later Jason Heffernam doubled Dale's tally. Gareth Gardiner supplying the cross which Heffernan finished off his knee.

The third came on the stroke of half time.

Steve Bird received a quickly taken free kick on the edge of the box and the shot took a deflection which gave the keeper no chance.

Gardiner had two good attempts to increase the tally after the break but it was United keeper Mark Andrews who was next in action - his first real action of the match - denying Fox in the 63rd minute.

The fourth goal arrived on 68 minutes, a super move put Craig Sargeson through and he fed Denning who tucked the ball into the bottom corner.
