LEEDS United star Alan Smith is planning a trip to Darwen's Anchor Ground tomorrow night to watch his brother Gavin in FA Cup action for Liversedge.

Alan watched as Gavin scored the second goal in Liversedge's Preliminary Round tie against Darwen on Saturday, but the Northern Counties side threw away a two goal lead as the visitors forced a replay.

Liversedge went ahead through Matty Flynn on 15 minutes and Smith put them further ahead with an overhead kick seven minutes later.

Darwen boss Steve Wilkes was fuming, though, as Smith kicked Darwen striker Paul Baker in the head as he performed the overhead kick.

On 32 minutes Darwen pulled one back through Baker after a shot from Denny Khan was saved by the Liversedge keeper Chris Simpson.

Five minutes into the second half Baker grabbed his second of the game - his fourth in the last three games - after a cross from Scott Grundy.

With just two minutes of the game remaining Darwen had a golden chance to grab a late win but Khan screwed a cross back to the edge of the box with Paul Baker and Lee Webb waiting just yards out from goal. Wilkes said: "At 20 past three when we were 2-0 down I would have accepted a draw but I think we could have won the game in the end." Jimmy Khan should be fit again after a calf strain, Wilkes could recall himself after a one-match ban, Mark Heys should be back in contention after missing Saturday's game with work commitments and Phil Rose is hoping to be fit after coming off on Saturday with a hamstring strain.
