TOWN crier Joe Baron had something to shout about when his wife Joan picked up two awards at Great Harwood Civic Society's Horticultural Show.
The annual event at the Central Methodist Church also features a variety of fruit, vegetables, flowers plus artwork, confectionery and cakes.
The trophy winners were: Presidents Cup, Jack Mattison; Bob Whitehead Silver Jubilee Cup and Marian Whitehead Cup, M Nuttall; Rotary Shield and Louise Pollard Cup, Joan Baron; John Ryan Cup, Allan Presho; Edna Baron Shield, Dianne Aspin; Gertrude Boardman Cup, Marion Owen; Lillian Pilard Shield, Jack Waddington; Albert Melling Shield, Anne Gray; Civic Society Cup, Lisha Broderick; Civic Society Shield, Adam Smith; David Wolstenholme Award, Matthew Smith; Thwaites Trophy, Donald Hutton.
