WARBURTON'S bakery in Burnley has raised dough towards a local girl's life-enhancing trip to Hungary.

Samantha Trundle, 11, who suffers from cerebral palsy has been on a number of visits to the famous Peto Clinic in Hungary and is returning again this month. The bakers have presented a £500 cheque towards the trip and treatment.

Samantha's father Gary, of Todmorden Road, Burnley, worked at the bakery several years ago. He said he was delighted with the help but that he didn't need any more donations as they had achieved what was needed. The trips to Hungary were costly but worth it to see the improvements Samantha was making in all aspects of her life.

Duncan Lees, general manager of Warburtons, in Burnley, presented the cheque to Samantha.

He said: "We hope our small donation will help her get the treatment she needs."
