AFTER a break of 12 days it's back to business with a vengeance for Blackpool, with two important games in three days!

On Saturday Steve McMahon's men travel to Oldham in a bid to get their season back on track after the home draw against Wycombe and the 4-0 setback at Brighton.

The Latics currently lie sixth in the table after last Saturday's draw at Tranmere which left manager Andie Ritchie fuming when the home side grabbed an 88th-minute equaliser from a free kick.

The Seasiders will have no illusions about the tough task they face, but it's the sort of challenge they have to meet if they are to progress in the league.

On Monday night they have a realistic chance of becoming giant killers when they take on Premiership side Leicester City at Bloomfield Road in the second round of the Worthington Cup.

Leicester lie pointless at the bottom of the Premiership table amid rumours of dressing room unrest and speculation that manager Peter Taylor might be out of a job if his side lose to Ipswich on Saturday.

Whatever the situation on Monday, Leicester will not relish the trip to Blackpool, and the Seasiders' fans could play a vital role by roaring their team on to glory.

Midfielder Martin Bullock signed a two-year deal this week and heard that his second booking at Brighton had been cancelled by the FA, thereby saving him from an automatic one match suspension.
