BIKERS who visit Europe's largest town centre motorbike show on Sunday will be helping to raise money for firefighters who lost their lives in the New York terrorist attack.

All bikers involved in the ride-ins to Rossendale Valley Motorbike Show in Rawtenstall and parking in the town centre will be charged £5 to go to charity.

Members of the bike show have decided that as well as supporting local causes, a percentage of the charity funds will be given to Lancashire Fire Services for their appeal for American colleagues who died in the New York terror attack.

At Asda the car park will be closed to accommodate mini-moto racing and a simulator ride and stalls to raise money for Ewood Day Centre in Haslingden.

Rawtenstall Kids Club, on Greenfield Street, Rawtenstall, has also agreed to open on the day to allow parents to have their children cared for at a cost of £2 per hour.
