FOOTPATHS in the borough are to re-open tomorrow for the first time since the two foot and mouths outbreaks in the area.
All footpaths across the Wigan area, with the exception of one alongside Crankwood Chadwicks Farm in Crankwood Road, Abram will re-open tomorrow (Friday).
Animal movement will be permitted for cattle and pigs from Monday, September 24 and for sheep from October 1, but only with a licence granted from the council. A Warrington district update had not been issued by the time the Journal went to press.
