NORTH End's Icelandic international forward Bjarki Gunnlaugsson's career may be over.
He faces a nervous wait to find out if his injury could bring a premature end to his career, when he further consults a surgeon over his long term hip problem that his plagued him over the past 12 months.
The 28-year-old joined Preston from Iclandic club KR in 1999 and soon became a firm favourite with the Deepdale crowd.
Although he struggled to find the net with regularity scoring just seven goals in 22 matches his skilful all round play won many admirers and his highlight of last season was a hat-trick in an Auto Windscreen Trophy match against Wrexham.
PRESTON'S live ITV fixture against Manchester City on Sunday, October 21, kicking-off at 2.15 pm, will be all-ticket with tickets for home supporters in the new Alan Kelly Town End, Pavilion Stand and Sir Tom Finney Stand going on sale today (Thursday)
