CLITHEROE midfielder Mark Stewart has turned down a move to UniBond First Division side Chorley.
Manager Lee Sculpher said: "He said he was happy to stay at Clitheroe and I am delighted.
"If we are going to challenge for honours we need players like Mark Stewart."
Rossendale United's Patrick Lauber, who Clitheroe were chasing, has decided to stay at Dark Lane.
