I DON'T know if you can assist, but if not perhaps you could suggest someone who could.

In 1976 I was a Police Officer serving in the the traffic department at Kendal, Cumbria. One Sunday afternoon, I think during the summer, I attended a very serious road traffic accident on the A591 near Stavely between Kendal and Windermere. It was in fact the most traumatic accident I ever attended when, if my memory serves me correctly, seven people were killed, most of them children.

All except one were from one family, only one child of about 4 years survived. The family were from the Lancaster area.

I have often wondered how the remaining child, who will now be about 29 years old, got on in life.

I have been unable to find old Police reports into this as no doubt by now, they have been disposed of.

If you have any archived reports I would be grateful to have sight of them.
