NEW girls and boys at Blackpool and The Fylde College were invited to the annual Freshers Fayre last week at the Bispham Campus.
The day was a huge success, with students taking advantage of freebies on offer and signing up for their all-important NUS cards which entitles students to numerous discounts at local shops, restaurants and cinemas.
A number of local organisations set up their stalls at the Fayre including health studios and fitness centres, Army Careers advice and local charities. Local banks were available to offer advice on managing finances. Representatives from the School of Hair and Beauty were also on hand, offering people free manicures.
"This year's Freshers Fayre was a huge success -- the event gets bigger and better every year," said a college spokesman.
