STEPHEN Murdoch's outdoor action was short-lived after stealing a £38 t-shirt from the Blackburn shop of the same name.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Murdoch ran from the shop with staff in pursuit but fell less than 50 yards from the door, enabling the assistants to grab him.
Murdoch, 29, of Trevor Close, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to theft.
He was remanded on bail until October 29 for the preparation of a pre-sentence report after the magistrates were told he is currently on probation for a similar offence.
