PAUL Thomas Reid, 22, of Edmundson Street, Blackburn, was fined £100 with £55 costs by Blackburn magistrates after pleading guilty to using threatening behaviour.
The court heard that police were called to a disturbance at the Griffin pub but when they arrived Reid was standing in the doorway and refused to move.
He was forcibly removed but as the officers were leaving he began shouting abuse at them and, after being warned, he was arrested.
Daniel King, defending, said there was no suggestion that Reid had been involved in the fight.
