A 20-YEAR-OLD woman found drunk and incoherent in the street was held up as a prime example of the "perils of After Shock," the latest designer drink craze among young people.

Basharat Ditta, defending, said the plight of Tracey Raysiah should act as a warning to anyone who drinking something they were not accustomed to.

He said Raysiah had drunk three of the miniature-sized drinks and felt fine.

"That was until she walked outside and found herself in a state she had never experienced before and one she did not expect to be in," said Mr Ditta.

"She fell to the floor, banging her head and was arrested when the police could get no sense out of her.

"She ended up spending nine hours in the cells until she was sober enough to be charged and released."

Raysiah, of Park Farm Road, Blackburn, admitted causing a breach of the peace and was bound over in the sum of £100 to keep the peace for six months.

A charge of being drunk and incapable was withdrawn.
