REGARDING Councillor Paul Brown's comments about drainage, (LET, October 1), I would like to point out that if he wishes to see a lake, then he would be welcome to see the lane at the back of our house leading to the front of James Street, Belthorn.
You don't even need a heavy downpour of rain, because the drains are non-existent and the water pours on to my back lawn regularly.
It's about time the council and councillors did sort out the real problems regarding drains.
