MASKED robbers bungled an attempt to steal a cash machine from a Bury convenience store.
The three thieves entered Dillan's late shop in Sunnybank Road shortly before 10pm on Thursday (Oct 5) and threatened staff.
They tried to remove a free-standing cash dispenser but fled empty-handed and escaped in a Ford Mondeo.
The trio were all male and wore balaclavas and dark clothing.
Whitefield CID are investigating the attempted robbery and anyone who can help with their inquiries should contact detectives on 856 8248.
