A TEENAGE thief claimed to be an old family friend before stealing cash from a 79-year-old Whitefield pensioner.
The youngster called at the elderly woman's house in Derwent Avenue at 4.30pm on Friday (Oct 12), grabbed £21 from a display cabinet and ran off.
He was described as being aged around 19, white, clean shaven with short dark hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt.
