CONGLETON had a player sent off after 15 minutes for elbowing Tony Smith but it was the second half before LR began to take advantage of the extra man.
On 52 minutes Luke Hardman sent a through ball for Barry Massey to chase and finish. Five minutes later the LR striker named as the September NWCL Player of the Month got his second beating three defenders on a run into the area to make it 2-0. Gavin Salmon made his debut for LR after his return from Hyde.
