BURY'S Chris Armstrong is at the centre of a transfer battle today after Oldham Athletic made a cash bid for the defender.
Bury want the 19-year-old to stay but may be forced to sell because of the dire financial position at the club.
The Shakers are also concerned because they have no cover for the left-back position. Oldham boss Andy Ritchie confirmed that Latics have made a cash offer for the promising youngster but refused to reveal the exact amount.
