NELSON football club's Albert Barnes has had his long years of service to the club and soccer recognised by the North West Counties League.
Barnes has ben with the club for the past 24 years and has served as chairman for the last four.
His retirement from the position of chairman was marked by the presentation of a silver salva by the NWC League.
