LEE Slater returned to haunt his old club as Great Harwood triumphed in this Worthington Challenge Cup second round tie.
Harwood were 3-0 up after just 25 minutes, thanks to two from Slater and one from Neil Baron.
After making two mistakes for the opening goals, Andy Walsh made some amends by pulling a goal back from the penalty spot after Paul Baker had been brought down.
But second half goals from Graham Lightbown and Slater made it 5-1 before Dennis Hill pulled back some consolation for Darwen.
