ALTHOUGH I am in favour of our hospital service being on one site, I am afraid the name 'Royal Blackburn Hospital' is a bit lame. The other alternative sounds like a football team.
I do not have a problem with the Royal title but should we not look to name it after someone who has been of valuable importance to the area? Maybe the Jack Walker Memorial Hospital, or after a religious figure such as Jude Thaddeus, patron of hospitals, or even St Thomas, which is always a good name.
Please don't let them call our hospital something boring.
