JANET Kirkham (Letters, November 19) claims 'antis' like myself are unconcerned for the welfare of foxes. The excitement of the hunt can be reproduced by the drag hunt which chases the scent without the fox. If the thrill of the chase without killing is unsatisfactory, then it is blood lust.

The issue of banning hunting with dogs is not going to be forgotten. To care what happens to foxes and dogs used to hunt is relevant to myself and others.
