ISEE that Hyndburn Council employees have been awarded certificates after completing a course on how to deal with disabled clients (LET, November 19).

I wonder if this course was extended to employees in Hyndburn's highways department?

I ask because I applied for a disabled person's parking space at the beginning of August.

I sent the application form along with photocopies of evidence to the department and still have not received any confirmation that my application has been received.

I have made several phone calls to various departments, but all to no avail.

Will we get a better deal now that these certificates have been issued?

From past experience, I find that the way of dealing with any problem seems to be to ignore it.
