THE 15th anniversary of Rossendale Hospice will be celebrated next year with a host of different activities throughout the year -- and a new logo!

The registered charity is looking for a new logo to mark its anniversary and will be inviting anyone aged 16 and under to put pen to paper to come up with a new motif.

Appeals director Liz Nelson said: "We would like anyone under 16 with a bright and brilliant idea to sent it to the hospice by December 14.

"The winner will receive a prize as well as seeing their design all over Rossendale during next year.

"Designs should ideally be in no more than two colours and drawn or printed on A4 paper. The winner will be chosen by a special panel at the hospice."

Many events are already planned including a special service of thanksgiving at St James the Less RC Church, Rawtenstall, on January 11 at 7.30pm, a Mad Hatter's tea party on March, going for goal in April and wear yellow day in June.

Anyone wanting to enter the logo competition should send their entries to Rossendale Hospice, Cribden House, Rossendale Hospital, Rawtenstall, Rossendale BB4 6NE.
