REGARDING your report, (LET, November 21), after eight years in office, Hyndburn MP Greg Pope should be aware that the siting of bus shelters is the responsibility of the Labour-controlled county council.
However, even though they are not county councillors, the Hyndburn councillors for St Andrew's ward, councillors Britcliffe and Walmsley, have initiated actions to resolve the problem.
