THE hunt is on for two men who stole a car after threatening its female driver.

The 51-year-old woman was about to leave the car park at Kwik Save in Twist Lane, Leigh, when she was approached by two men just after 6pm on Tuesday.

They threatened her and demanded she climb out of the car, a silver Rover 25, registration Y964 NBN. The pair drove off in the car, which has still not been recovered.

The men are white, in their early 20s and were wearing hooded tops. Anyone with information is asked to contact Leigh CID on 0161 856 7253. Det Con Gordon Grainger, of Leigh CID, said: "This incident has left the victim extremely shaken.

"I would also ask anyone who has seen the car since it was stolen, or knows its current whereabouts to contact the police."
