THREE vehicles were involved in an accident at roadworks on Keighley Road, Laneshawbridge, at 4pm yesterday.
Police said a VW Polo driven by Philip Mason, 26, of St Anthony's Road, Kettering, ran into the back of a stationary Ford Courier van driven by Keith Moss, 57, of Brooklands Lane, Menston, which went into the back of a stationary Volvo V70 driven by Peter Brown-Sully, 53, of Cranewell Drive, Leeds.
Mr Moss suffered whiplash and was treated at Airedale General Hospital, Steeton.
An Audi 80 driven by a 43-year-old man from Darwen hit a lamp-post on the A56 exit from the Haslingden by-pass leading to the Woolpack roundabout.
Police said George James Seymour, of Douglas Grove, braked to avoid a police car at 11.50pm on Tuesday.
He suffered back pains and bruising to his head and was taken to Bury General Hospital but allowed home yesterday.
