A HOUSE in Fence will definitely brighten up the dark nights when its 10,000 Christmas lights are switched on tomorrow night.

April and David Barnes, and their son Mark, make sure their spectacular display of decorations and lights both inside and outside their house, in Wheatley Lane Road, are bigger and better each year.

At 6pm tomorrow local actor John McArdle will press the button that will see the house burst in to light .

There will also be Santa's Garden and a model of Santa's Workshop new for this year.

April said: "We've even more lights this year and think people would have to go a long way to get as much as we have got inside and outside. Every room is decorated even the bathroom. This time the money we raise will go to the NSPCC."

David and nine-year-old Mark will also be dressed as Santa and his little elf helper.

The cottage will be open to visitors between 6pm and 9pm from Saturday until Christmas Eve. Entry is free but donations to the NSPCC would be appreciated.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
