NEWSQUEST Media Group Limited, owners of the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, were cleared by the Government to go ahead with the £305 million purchase of Westminster Press.
The acquisition of the regional newspaper arm of media group Pearson was approved after being referred to the Monopolies and Mergers Commission.
