EAST Lancashire companies were honoured at a recent awards ceremony hosted by the environmental charity Groundwork.
Explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes was guest speaker at the BEA Annual Dinner, held at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors.
The winners were: Waste Minimisation, BSN Medical Ltd; Energy Management, Wolstenholme International Ltd; Environmental Innovation/Technology, James Proctor Ltd; Environment and the Community, Clariant UK Ltd; Environmental Management, Michelin Tyre Plc; Water Wise, Carlson Filtration Ltd.
The BEA local Award winners for significant environmental improvement sponsored by each of the East Lancs Borough Councils were: BEA Rossendale (sponsored by Action for Haslingden), Mayfield Chicks Ltd; BEA Blackburn (sponsored by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council), Wolstenholme International; BEA Pendle (sponsored by Pendle Borough Council), BSN Medical; BEA Hyndburn (sponsored by Hyndburn Borough Council), Clariant UK Ltd; BEA Burnley (sponsored by Burnley Borough Council), James Proctor Ltd.
