PUBLIC toilets in Ramsbottom have had to be closed after being vandalised twice in a few days.
Bury Metro staff are hoping to have the facilities in Market Place back working as quickly as possible after attacks by mindless yobs.
The sink was ripped off the wall after vandals presumably jumped on it to dislodge it from its fittings and fast-acting glue was placed on the electronic door lock.
The latest closure was deemed necessary on safety grounds because wiring had been exposed.
A spokesman for Bury Metro said: "We believe the vandalism may well have been caused by the same individuals and would ask local people to keep an eye open, especially if they notice anyone loitering in the immediate area.
"These facilities are actually highly resistant to vandalism, but when determined efforts like this are made to cause damage there is little chance of preventing it."
