A 43-YEAR-OLD man has been ordered to stand trial at Preston Crown Court on a charge of attempting to kidnap a 12-year-old girl on her way home from school.
Keith Gerard Worswick, of Snowden Avenue, Accrington, was remanded in custody until January 3 by Blackburn magistrates for the preparation of committal papers.
Defence solicitor Stephen Parker did not apply for bail for Worswick, who is alleged to have followed the girl before grabbing her by the arm. Neighbours alerted by her screams gave chase to a man who ran away from Tenby Close.
